  • 1985

    Startup

    Terri Adams started Precision Arts as a freelance business in 1985, The expertise at that time was to provide ultra clean cut-and-paste mechanicals for making film negatives used in printing. The tools of the trade required a keen eye for design, a drawing table with a t-square, and a good steady hand.

  • 1987

    700-pg Custom Catalogs

    Hand-drawn pen-and-ink illustrations, photography, and typography were the elements used to design custom catalogs as large as a "Texas" phone book. Computer generated graphics became the industry standard, resulting in a more cost-effective production process.

  • 1995

    Incorporation

    Precision Arts registered its businesses entity with the Massachusetts secretary of state.

  • 1996

    First Website

    Our first website was designed in 1996. Internet marketing services at that time included hand submissions to online directories such as DMOZ (the Open Directory Project) that used humans, rather than machines, to organize websites.

    Advisory Board Member

    Terri Adams , President of Precision Arts, received an official certificate of appreciation for serving as a Mount Wachusett Community College Computer Graphic Design Department Advisory Board member from 1998-2003, also serving in 2004.

    ASN Adobe Solutions, PPC and SEO

    Our firm was accepted in the original ASN Adobe Solutions Network. Also in 2002, Precision Arts offered pay-per-click (PPC) program management via Overture and Google AdWords, and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques were built into our website HTML code for organic unpaid searches.

    eCommerce

    Precision Arts offers full featured online shopping cart solutions, with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates, displaying  "https" (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure), where users see a padlock icon in the browser. The address bar turns green for extended validation certificates.

    From 2002-2007, our series of proprietary visual search engine relativity charts have been featured in articles on Search Engine Watch by Danny Sullivan, world reknowned Internet consultant, journalist, and expert speaker covering search engines since 1985.

    Our firm was accepted as a Google Certified Partner through the Google Engage Agency Portal, and has provided Google AdWords pay-per-click-program management services since 2002.
